One Book Everyone Should ReadOne book I feel that everyone should read is Wonder. Wonder takes the reader through a slue of emotional twists and turns. It also shines light on a major issue in society, bullying. It was one of the few summer reading books that I really enjoyed reading. If you like a book that really tugs at your heart string, then Wonder is a must read.

Laika shows the story of the first living creature to orbit Earth, a dog named Laika. Laika begins as a stray dog, who then gets captured and returned to a Russian rocket plant where she is cared for by Yelena Alexandrovna Dubrovsky. Yelena is told not to get too attached to any dogs, but she seemed to have a strong connection with Laika. She even "talks" to Laika, which is peculiar to her co-workers. Once Laika is ready to launch, Yelena finds out that there is no possible way that Laika can return to Earth alive. She is very saddened by this, but is also very proud to serve her country. Once Laika is launched on Sputnik II she is know worldwide and beloved by the Russian people.
I don't really enjoy reading all that much. I don't really have a problem with it, i just don't really like it. When I was younger, I loved to read, and I was very good at it. But as I grew up I began to distance myself with reading. I still am a very good reader, but I would just rather do other things. My earliest reading memory was reading Dr. Suess with my mom. My mom is really the one who pushed me onto reading, and it's great that she did. Doing all that reading at an early age really set me up for the future. Due to this I was more advanced than many of my peers, and I am very thankful that she had the care to look out for my future and teach me on her own.
